Biting Room and Nice Room, Performance, 40 mins, The Glue Factory, Glasgow, UK, 2019
Reflecting on the strange times we live in and various daily crises, inspired by Kevin Kelly's prophecy in _Out of Control_, the work focuses on consumerism, hybridisation, cyborg and female subjectivity with the aim of sculpting a possible future for humanity. The performance consists of 3 parts: Zipper Factory; Slime Machine; Plastic Broadcast Room. This work presented a seemingly hybrid world based on our alienated spectacular world, focusing on alarming social phenomena among the Chinese young generation since the fantasy of massive capital shocks and the illusion of quick fame. We created a space in a scenographic sense, combining mixed media and live sound. It is a playing field, a landscape and a slice of society.
