Hijack打劫 is an independent artist collective initiated by Jing Xie and Qiong Zhang in 2016. Hijack is the moment emergent and inevitable. It is the action imminent and unpredictable that might unfold at any time and space. Through continuous collaboration, they roam in various places and spaces across China and Europe. Their practice focuses on consumerism, power, feminism through performance, intervention, moving image and devising theater. Their works tend to present the sense of humor with daily life experiences and poetic satirical moments to construct different situations and worlds, reflecting on how political constructions and social orders impact the relationship between individuals and others, and how individual behaviors are shaped by those. Their recent projects have present concerns and reflections on various crises that human beings facing together. By placing individuals in different social networks and environments, they push concealed and ignored problems to emerge.
Hijack打劫，是⼀个独立的艺术家联合体，由艺术家谢静和张琼于2016年发起，在中国与欧洲不同地点随机漂移与合作。她们的实践关注性别，空间，与权力。通过表演，社会介⼊，机制剧场，影像等创作方式，她们的作品常呈现出日常生活经验的幽默及诗意且讽刺的瞬间，并建构出怪诞的情境与世界，以此反思社会和政治结构与秩序如何影响个体与他者的关系，以及如何塑造个体行为。她们关注与反思当下人类普遍面临的各种危机，通过将个体置放到不同的社会网络与环境中，让被掩盖和被忽视的问题显现。打劫即将发生，随时结束，出其不意，不可避免。
